#26: Fika Cafe @ Millenia Walk

Fika has been around for quite a few years and I did not get a chance to visit the cafe till this July. It is one of the few halal-certified cafe around so it is no wonder that it is popular with the Muslims. With its comfortable interior and amazing desserts, patrons will be glad to pay a little more.

The Place

Fika has put together a very nice colour theme with simple white walls and brown wooden furniture. With a down to earth design, it allows patrons to feel at ease having a meal or dessert at the place. If you prefer to have more privacy, you might like the alfresco seat away from the diner buzz.

It is really crowded during dinner!

Its gallery of yummy desserts.

The Food

At first glance at the cakes and menu, I was quite surprised at the steep prices and I ended up with the cheapest off the menu, Swedish Appelkaka (Apple Cake), which cost me only $4.90. I was not expecting much from this underdog but boy I was so amazed!

Served warm and fresh, this cake is full with the sweetness of apple and sugar, the texture is extremely soft and it rolls on your tongue! I must have been really unlucky to be sick and had to avoid ice cream that day, or else I would be sent to cloud nine! It is amazing on every single bite and I wish there was more at the end.

Would definitely revisit Fika JUST for this amazing Appelkaka!

{ In a nutshell }

With its spacious shopspace at Millenia Walk, Fika has made full use of it by furnishing it with matching white and brown furniture. The comfortable setting and pretty interior left me with a good memory. Love the Appelkaka to bits and would be looking forward to try the other desserts on the menu! Not so sure about the food though as they are really steeply priced!
