#34: Pies and Coffee @ Rochester Mall

Rochester Park - the favourite to some, unfound to many. Marking the entrance of this beautiful place is Pies and Coffee, a place selling delicious pies, sweets and coffee! They have a good variety of pastries and every one of them looks delicious! With a generous number of seats and power plugs available, as well as its long opening hours from 9am - 11pm, this place is ideal for self-study all day!

The Place

From the outside, its conventional design makes it look like just another cafe, but looks are deceiving in this case!



The white interior gave a different feel to the cafe on the inside. I love the cushioned seats but sadly there were no power plugs by those seats.





This cafe is quiet in the afternoon and I enjoy the serenity.



Expert to pies.



There are a lot more seats on the outside so you won't ever need to worry about fighting with others for seats.



This was one pie I REALLY wanted to try but I will save it for another day!



A little pricey but really worth it!

The Food

I shared a Lemon Meringue Tart with the friend I came here with. The zesty lemon layer was really thrilling to eat! It is sour enough to make you squint your eyes and go "mm" but the meringue layer cleans your tongue with a load of sweetness! Rare crispy meringue bits and the crust neutralized the powerful tastes quite well. All in all, it is a sweet and refreshing dessert with a very balanced blend of sweetness and sourness!

Another to add to my favourite cafe food list!

I already love this cafe based on just one pie and I would definitely be back there one day to mug while enjoying pies all day! Would love to try their coffee as well!
