Windowsill In The Woods has got to be my latest favourite hideout at Jalan Besar! This place serves extremely delicious pies. Its super adorable Fairytale interior and hidden location are the main reasons that attract me. Even though they are rather new to the area, many people have already gotten wind of it. When i first chanced upon it by accident, they were still just freshly opened and recently when I visited on a weekend, it was mostly crowded. You have to be there if you want a unique cafe experience!

The Place
As you can see, most parts of its decor are specially crafted and they even have a wooden tree on their mini stage.
And the night view...
I love the exterior too. So far, I have not seen that many cafes which have done up their storefront to this extent so I am really pleased with this one!
The Food
My favourite pie would definitely be the Banana Almond Brittle Pie. It tastes interesting and it is extremely delicious! The crispy salty caramel and nuts goes really well with the sweet banana cream. The sweetness resembles that of the Garetts caramel popcorn. Loved how the crispy nuts and crispy crust added an extra kick to it.
The clear layers that blend so well together.
This is S'mores Pie. It is made of a milk chocolate and marshmallow layer and a thick dark chocolate fudge on top. The pie is really delicious and the unique thing about it is the roasted fragrance on the marshmallow. The crust is crispy and buttery too.
And this is their Grasshopper Pie. Soft light layer of mint chocolate and dense layer of chocolate. Delicious as well and a it is a rare flavour of pie! Extremely exclusive to Windowsills In the Woods only!
I also had a Hot Latte. Their latte is very light and the fragrance could have been stronger. It tasted better after adding two teaspoon of sugar. I don't really blame them because this place isn't famous for its coffee and you can tell straight away by the lack of latte art!
The Menu
{ In a nutshell }
I really like this cafe and I would recommend all cafe lovers to visit! The pies are to-die-for so you better not miss out on it! The prices might be slightly expensive for its size but the good news is that there are no taxes! The service staff here are friendly and I am sure you will enjoy your visit as much as I did! You could also hop by the other cafes around the area - Antoinette, Broers Cafe, Chye Seng Huat Hardware and The Coffee Shot (newly opened!)!(btw, the cafe has one powerplug for laptop but no wifi!)
