#4 - Cafe Hacienda @ Dempsey {CLOSED}

*Cafe Hacienda has ceased operations*

Cafe Hacienda is pretty visible when you walk around Dempsey Hill. Though it isn't very appealing on the exterior and looks rather old fashion, it is a good place to sit at for some cakes on a lazy afternoon. It is, however, busy on a typical lunch time.

The Place

After Grace and i left PS Cafe, we headed over to the cafe nearby, Cafe Hacienda.

The Bar

We chose to sit at the alfresco area because it's the only area with sofa and it was rather cooling outside because of the drizzle.

I didn't take a strong liking to the cafe's interior, because it's rather prim and proper, which is of low uniqueness. However the ambience is rather classy, and it would be nice to have a simple meal there.

I found an acquaintance working there and she was nice enough to introduce us their nice cakes on the menu.

The Food

We decided on the Hazelnut cake

I must say it really tasted damn good. It's super chocolaty, yet not enough to make you sick even on the last mouthful, and there is a crispy layer which went so well with the entire taste. Not too sweet and quite creamy.

The Menu

I didn't take a picture of the menu because we only went to the counter and ordered the cake.

Also, we were given a discount because we were "friends" of the cafe. So lucky that day.

The Companion

{ In a nutshell }

The cafe probably has a lot more good cakes worth trying and the Hazelnut cake is something which would pull me back there again!
