#54: Strangers' Reunion @ Outram Park

Strangers' Reunion is one cafe which I've regretted not visiting earlier. It's been around for a year and it would have easily made the top of my list given its indie and cosy ambience, as well as its "Magical" coffee. This is the right place to go if you enjoy the mix of calm and commotion in the background while doing some leisure reading and surfing online.

I really liked their entrance, which was made intentionally ragged, creating a indie feel right from the doorstep.

It was a crowded Sunday and given its narrow interior, it was slightly inconvenient to manoeuvre around the cafe.

Absolutely love the cosy couch and ambience.

A great way to spend the afternoon reading... about how your pet cats are trying to kill you.

The Food

I ordered a Roast Pork Sandwich.

The sauce they used was really nice, the first time I tasted something like this. It tasted pretty oriental. The pork belly was crispy as well. The only thing that didn't go so well was the tough bread. As it was served on a small plate, I was having a hard time trying to cut it up without spilling anything on the table.

I ordered a cup of Magic. It has a 2 to 1 ratio of milk and coffee. It was really fragrant and not bitter at all. I liked it, and the coffee art was really mood lifting.

Couldn't resist taking artistic shots.

Later in the day, I ordered an Iced Latte. It was rather strong for this size, but the coffee doesn't leave behind any unpleasant aftertaste.

{ In a nutshell }

Strangers' Reunion has it all to make my list of favourite cafes, with its magical coffee and indie, cosy ambience. Their service was good and you would really feel at home there. The only lacking thing was the perpetual crowd which made me feel really pressurized to buy more in order to stay longer in the cafe. There are plugs for laptop but sadly, no wifi! Hence, I would recommend this place for a catchup with friends and leisure time!
