Quietly situated along Tanjong Pagar Road, Drury Lane could be your quick escape in the central area. With its bright red shop face, it wouldn't be hard for you to find this quaint cafe along the row of shophouses. There is a second level to this cafe, where it is quieter and could give you the tranquillity you need.
The first level gives a good view to the street and the seating area is made up of high bar stools and tables sticking out from the wall. You also have a treat to the lovely aroma from the coffee brewing and food cooking up.
However, if you are looking for a quiet space, you could try the second level which is well isolated.
They tried to instil a rustic feel to its interior with seats made with raw materials like wooden boxes and cartons. They might not be the most comfortable seats, but it is a rather peculiar and eco-friendly decor idea.
The Cafe Latte was average in its taste and fragrance but they did a really good job in the latte art.
I also ordered a home-made Carrot Cake and it was above my expectations. The cake was moist and the walnut gave a really good crunchy texture to it. It was also very balanced on its sweetness so I couldn't stop helping myself to it.

The Menu
{ In a nutshell }
Drury Lane is a sweet hideout which serves decent coffee and home made desserts. They also have some breakfas-y items which smells really good from the open kitchen! It is a really conducive place for laptop use as they have powerplugs and free wifi. However, the lighting is rather dark so avoid using your laptop for long hours to protect your eyes!Follow @Cafehoppingsg on Instagram!
